Statement of Purpose
HORSE RESCUE BY DR. LAURA, INC. IS DEDICATED TO FINDING QUALITY HOMES FOR ANY HORSE IN NEED. OUR FIRST GOAL IS TO PROVIDE EACH HORSE WITH AMPLE NUTRITION, VETERINARY, DENTAL AND FARRIER CARE, AS WELL AS TRAINING TO BE ABLE TO PLACE THEM IN LOVING HOMES. NO HORSE PLACED IN OUR CARE WILL END UP BACK IN AN AUCTION HOUSE OR ON THE SLAUGHTER PIPELINE AS PER OUR LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT. OUR SECOND GOAL IS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC TO THE PLIGHT OF UNWANTED HORSES DUE TO OVER BREEDING BY LARGE HORSE FACILITIES.

HORSE RESCUE BY DR LAURA, INC is a registered non-profit rescue in the State of Wisconsin. Our priority is saving horses destined for slaughter, but all horses in need will be assisted to the best of our ability and resources.
Our facility is a combined rescue and sanctuary. We have both rescued horses able to lead healthy, productive lives looking for forever adoptive homes, and older retired and handicapped horses that are looking for sponsors. This will allow them to live out the rest of their lives here with us.
